Metal Sales Manufacturing Corporation provided 133,000 square feet of roof and wall panels to outfit the Central Arizona College (CAC) Maricopa Campus. The campus consists of three “academic sheds” and a central plant. The project team’s goal was to create highly sustainable structures that complement their surrounding landscape.

The CAC Maricopa Campus buildings feature a rectangular design with slanted roofs and deep canopies to provide a shaded outdoor area that allows interior academic spaces to flow outdoors seamlessly. To achieve this transition, the project team turned to Metal Sales.

The three academic sheds and central plant serve as a starting point for the Maricopa campus design. CAC plans to expand Maricopa campus significantly over the next 20 years. The Cor-Ten panels naturally oxidize, requiring little maintenance and emphasizing the rural tone for the campus.
